RESILIENCE RELAY FEATURED ATHLETE: ZACH
Achilles Resilience Relay 2021
Zach Stinson
United States Marine Sargent (Retired) Zach Stinson. Achilles met Zach in 2012 while he was recovering at Walter Reed national military medical Center from injuries sustained in action. Zach competed in the Marine Corps Marathon with the Achilles Freedom Team that year and then took some time to focus on building his family. He has an incredible wife and two young daughters who are the spitting image of him! In January 2019, Zach decided to participate in the Walt Disney World Dopey Challenge, four races in four days, in his pushrim racing chair. During the half marathon on day three, his adaptive equipment was beyond swift repair and in true Zach-fashion he finished the last several miles in his day-wheelchair! With the Achilles Resilience Relay and Fall marathons around the corner, Zach is looking forward to “seeing friends I haven’t seen in over a year!” And shares, “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. Philippians 4:13” Zach is a hard worker and Achilles is honored to witness his drive and support him in his journey to reach his goals however possible.
