Give the Gift of Running this Boston Marathon Weekend

Justin O' Connell, 32, of Achilles Boston, is gearing up to race in his hometown at the 2023 Boston Marathon. Justin was born with muscle issues which later progressed to a degree that required doctors to insert a rod in his spine to save his life in 2006. He re-learned how to sit up, stand up and walk. Today, he's a marathoner conquering his fifth Boston and 28th overall marathon.

"I joined Achilles to meet people with disabilities like me and to be able to run with like minded people. I'm running the Boston Marathon to help inspire and motivate more people to join Achilles Boston when they see my shirt on the course," says Justin.

Alongside 40 other Achilles athletes with disabilities, Justin will hit the streets of Boston on Monday, April 17 and show everyone the impact of the transformative power of the sport of running.

By donating to Achilles International, you are helping to support all athletes living with disabilities and helping to ensure that they have the resources needed to conquer their goals and cross the finish line.

"The Achilles mission has taught me with a little support, anything is truly possible,” says Justin. “From the coaches and the volunteers such as Ross and Mike and to all the amazing guides, Achilles has shown me you can compete on any level!"

Make a tax deductible gift today and help athletes like Justin achieve new goals they might never have dreamed were possible.
