Kids in a school yard cheering for a young boy with a walking stick

“All of the students sat and waited for their turn and cheered on each other as they received their awards. I had the school principal join in and she placed the medals around each of them. The energy and excitement in the room was huge! These special needs children struggle with so much. Having them work and earn these awards means the world to them. It's something tangible that they can see and touch. A lot of them immediately wanted to put their shirts on. They were so proud of themselves.”
